How it is calculated

Every number sold has the same chance, so with k of N numbers your chance is k ÷ N, or “1 in N ÷ k”.

N ÷ k800,000 ÷ 5

Prize = jackpot × winner’s share. Average value of your numbers = prize × k ÷ N.

Average value$1.25

Example

How the chance works

Your chance = your numbers ÷ all numbers sold when sales close

Example: With 800,000 numbers sold, the smallest pack (5 numbers for $10) has a chance of 1 in 160,000.

How it works and what the rules say

Same chance per number

Every number sold has the same chance to be drawn, whatever pack it came in.

Chance falls as sales grow

Each new number sold lowers your chance. The rules say: “Odds of winning the Prize are based on the number of Numbers sold during an Event.”

Known only at close

Numbers keep selling during the event, so your final chance is known only when sales close.

What the jackpot is

The rules define the jackpot as all money collected for the event, at the event site and through online sales.

Winner's share

50% of gross sales

The winning ticket holder receives this share. The rest goes to the Foundation, other partner charities if applicable, and permitted expenses.
