MAXMILLIONS and MAXPLUS: How Extra Draws Work
MAXMILLIONS adds $1,000,000 prizes to big Lotto Max draws, and MAXPLUS adds extra seven-number draws. The calculator below turns the number of sets into odds for one play.
With a $50,000,000 jackpot, one play has 4 lines. Each line is checked against every extra set; only an exact match of all 7 numbers wins.

When extra draws start
- Jackpot reaches the thresholdWhen the Main Jackpot for a draw would equal or exceed $50,000,000, MAXMILLIONS prizes are added. See how jackpots grow.
- ILC sets the numberILC decides how many MAXMILLIONS prizes there are, at its sole discretion, and announces the number before the draw.
- Each prize is one setEach MAXMILLIONS prize has its own set of seven different numbers, drawn from the same range as the main game.
- Exact match on one lineAll seven numbers on one line of your ticket must match one set. Partial matches win nothing in this draw.
- Prize shared or returnedEach prize is $1,000,000, shared if several lines match the same set. An unwon prize goes to the Draw Fund.
Odds for one line and one set
One line vs one set = 1 in 133,784,560, as 133,784,560 different seven-number sets are possible
Example: One play has four lines, so against one set its odds are four times better. Each extra set adds the same chance again.

Questions
What is MAXMILLIONS in Lotto Max?
Extra $1,000,000 prizes added to a Lotto Max draw when the Main Jackpot would reach $50,000,000 or more. Each prize has its own set of seven numbers.
How many MAXMILLIONS draws are there?
There is no fixed number. ILC sets the number of MAXMILLIONS prizes for each draw at its sole discretion and announces it before the draw. Enter that number in the calculator above to see the odds per play.
Do you need all seven numbers to win MAXMILLIONS?
Yes. One line must match all seven numbers of a set exactly. There are no smaller prizes in MAXMILLIONS or MAXPLUS draws. A line can still win a Main Draw prize with its own numbers.
What is MAXPLUS?
Extra draws held right after the Main Draw: one set of 7 numbers for every $1,000,000 in the jackpot, and ILC may add more. One line must match a set exactly, and the prize is shared between all lines that do.
What are the odds of winning a MAXMILLIONS prize?
One line against one set: 1 in 133,784,560. A play has four lines, and each extra set adds another chance, so the odds per play depend on the number of sets ILC announces.
