How Pick-2 works

  1. Choose a numberPick any two-digit number from 00 to 99.
  2. Pay per playEach play costs $2.
  3. Wait for a drawOLG draws one two-digit number twice a day, every day: afternoon and evening, Eastern Time.
  4. Check the orderDigits count only in the exact order drawn. Only the higher prize is paid.

Every possible number

Possible numbers = ten choices for the first digit × ten choices for the second = 100

Example: The winning number is one of 100, so one play matches both digits with odds of 1 in 100.

Checking the published payout

Return = (both-digit prize × its chance + first-digit prize × its chance) ÷ play price

Example: $99 at 1 in 100 plus $2 at 1 in 11.1, divided by $2, gives 58.5% – the figure OLG publishes.
