Questions

What are the odds of winning Pick 4?

A straight bet wins with odds of 1 in 10,000. Box bets have better odds, from 1 in 2,500 to 1 in 416.7, depending on how many orders your digits can make.

What is a 24-way box in Pick 4?

It is a box bet on a number with four different digits (ABCD). Those digits can be drawn in 24 orders, so the odds are 1 in 416.7.

Does a box bet pay less than a straight bet?

Yes. A box prize is smaller because the bet covers more orders. The return stays close: 50.0% for straight, 48.0% for a 24-way box.

Can I play a number like AAAA as a box?

No. OLG's game conditions say a number using the same digit four times is valid for a straight play only.

How often is Ontario Pick 4 drawn?

OLG draws Pick 4 twice a day, every day of the week: once in the afternoon and once in the evening, Eastern Time.
