Banco Statistics: Number Frequency Since 2009

Live counts for every Banco number since 2009, shown next to what chance alone gives. The draws are random: these counts describe the past and do not change the next draw.

Banco draws counted6,514

From Jan 1, 2009 to Nov 1, 2026, every number drawn (20 of 70 in each draw).

  • band of chance (95%): 1,790 to 1,933 times
  • expected: 1,861 times
  • outside the band

Bars start at the expected count: up means drawn more often than expected, down means less often.

Numbers outside the band: 5 of 70; with fair draws about 3.4 of 70 fall outside it by chance alone.

Chi-square test: 88.6 with 69 degrees of freedom, p = 0.06: well within what chance alone gives.

A long absence does not make a number due. In the next draw every number has the same chance: 20 in 70, about 28.6%.

A fair count lands inside the band most of the time, so a few numbers outside it are expected. Values update as new draws are saved.

How to read the chart

  1. Start from the expected countWith fair draws, every number should come up about the same number of times. That shared level is the zero line of the chart.
  2. Read the distanceThe chart shows how far each number's count is above or below the expected count.
  3. Check the grey bandThe grey band is the range one number's count lands in by chance alone in most fair archives.
  4. Read the chi-square testIt checks all counts together. A very small p-value would mean counts that fair draws rarely give.

What a fair archive looks like

The hot and cold idea

  • Numbers drawn often will keep coming up more
  • A number missing for a long time is due
  • The counts show a pattern to follow

What the math shows

  • Most counts stay inside the band of chance
  • A few numbers outside the band are expected with fair draws
  • The table above shows how many are outside now
  • No number is ever due

Questions

What are the most common Banco numbers?

The tool above lists the most and least drawn numbers; the list changes as draws are added. Most counts sit inside the band chance alone gives, so a high count is not a sign for the next draw.

Are there hot numbers in Banco?

Some numbers have come up more often than others, as happens in any random draw. A hot number has the same 28.6% chance as any other number to be among the next numbers drawn.

Can past Banco results predict the next draw?

No. Each draw is independent of earlier ones. Past counts, long absences and recent results do not change which numbers come next.

How are Banco numbers drawn?

Loto-Québec draws 20 numbers at random from 70 numbers, once every evening. See Banco odds and payouts for the prizes of each wager.
