Québec Max Number Frequency, Counted by Drum Size

Counts of every Québec Max number in our saved draws, split by drum size, each shown against the range chance alone produces. Below: how to read them and why they predict nothing.

Québec Max draws counted1,123

From Oct 19, 2012 to Oct 30, 2026, main numbers only (the bonus is not counted).

The drum changed 2 times in this period, so every set of rules is counted on its own.

The band is where one number's count lands in most fair runs. A few numbers outside it is normal. A high p-value means the spread looks like chance alone.

Why the drum sizes are split

  1. The drum grewOver the years Loto-Québec added numbers to the Québec Max drum. Its statistics page dates when each new number became available.
  2. New numbers start laterA number that was not in the drum could not be drawn, so it had fewer chances to come up.
  3. Mixing periods misleadsCounting all periods together would make older numbers look frequent and newer ones look rare.
  4. Each size counted apartThe tool above shows each drum size on its own, with its own chance band and chi-square test.

What the counts show and do not

What they show

  • How often each number came up in our saved draws
  • Whether counts stay inside the band of chance
  • Whether the whole spread looks like fair draws

What they do not show

  • Which numbers will come up next
  • A tip: hot or cold numbers are not advice
  • A number that is due – no number is ever due

Words used in the tool

Chance band
The range where one number's count falls in most runs of fair draws. Counts inside it are ordinary.
Chi-square test
A test of whether all counts together spread more than chance alone would. It is run for each drum size.
p-value
How often fair draws would give a spread at least this uneven. A high value means nothing unusual.
Hot number
A number with a high count so far. It has the same chance as any other in the next draw.
Cold number
A number with a low count or away a long time. It is not due and not more likely next.

Questions

What are the most common Québec Max numbers?

The tool above lists them for each drum size, and the list changes as draws are added. Most counts stay inside the band of chance, and a frequent number is no more likely in the next draw.

Why are Québec Max numbers counted in separate periods?

The drum grew over the years. A number that was not in the drum could not be drawn, so counting all periods together would make older numbers look frequent. Each drum size is counted on its own.

Do hot Québec Max numbers come up more often?

No. Each draw is random and independent. A given number has a 13.5% chance to be among the numbers of the next draw, whatever came before. See hot and cold numbers.

Are the Québec Max results on this page official?

No. Our copy is unofficial. Loto-Québec states that results on its portal are not official either and that its official winning list prevails. The tool links the official results.
